Web Design & Development
Far too many nonprofit websites are inadequately planned, hard to update, poorly designed, out of date, bloated, slow loading, and difficult to understand.
Our job is to fix that.
If your website is pretty but does not clearly communicate your work – it is just a nice art project.
If all you need is a pretty website, you can probably build one yourself. But if you are looking for a strategic website, we can clearly communicate your mission and story effectively and beautifully.
If your website is more than 3-5 years old, its design and messaging are out of date.
Yes, your donors are seeing an out of date design. But more importantly, they are not seeing the latest updates in the way you tell your story and communicate your mission.
If your WordPress website is using more than 15 plugins it is likely too dependent on those plugins.
If one of your plugins fails, your whole website could be in jeopardy. WordPress can be a great tool but when it is not used correctly it is very likely to become bulky and unstable.
If your website loads too slowly it doesn’t matter how pretty it is, people will not read it.
By now we all know that people are impatient when they visit websites. There is a very good chance that you are losing visitors because of bloated code, bulky page builders, and a lack of optimized code, images, and video. If so, you are losing potential donors before they even get a chance to get to know your story.

Community Development Corporation of Oregon
CDCO came to us in 2020 with a need for a major overhaul of their family of websites. They were experiencing significant growth; their sites had been built by volunteers and were not communicating their work effectively. They needed to present a more full picture of their work as they engaged major donors and multiple granting opportunities. We worked with them to develop a content strategy, and redesign and relaunch all of their primary websites.
We believe that content is more important than design. We will work with you to make sure that your website effectively tells your story, converts your goals, and connects with the hearts and minds of your target audience.
We are committed to staying up-to-date on the latest design trends and industry best practices. At the same time, our job is to provide an effective website that meets your specific goals. Sometimes this means eliminating fancy features or avoiding options that “everyone else” is using. Our primary goal is to create effectively designed websites, not merely a fancy ones.
It has become clear to all of us that we live in a world filled with mobile devices, so we build websites that are not only mobile-friendly, but are designed and developed, knowing that a majority of websites visitors will view your site from a mobile device.
A vast majority of the websites we build are on the WordPress Content Management System, which makes the sites easily maintainable by leadership, staff and volunteers. We provide content update and maintenance plans, but we make sure that you have the access you need to maintain and update your website on your own.
We would love to talk with you about your website project and provide a free evaluation of your site.
