Hidden Springs Mission was founded by Bill and Grace Manning in 2018. Following 20 years of building deep relationships with people on the Navajo reservation, they decided to move their family into the community to work alongside local leaders to address some of the most pressing systemic issues facing the people there.
Over the years they have been sustained by a few key donors and churches. They were looking for a way to be more intentional about end-of-year fundraising so they contacted us.
Liminal Creative worked with Bill and Grace to build a clear and effective year-end communications plan and fundraising strategy to tell their story, make the need clear, and give donors a specific plan of action.
Because sustainability is a challenge for both the Navajo people and Hidden Springs, we designed a logo and branding collateral around the idea of a “Sustainable Future.”
Since it had been quite some time since Hidden Springs Mission clearly communicated their story, we crafted a five-week campaign that guided donors on a journey – inviting them to discover how they got started, how their work had developed, and their vision for the future.
We created email and social collateral around the following themes:
Being a fairly new nonprofit organization, Hidden Springs Mission had an annual budget of $30,000/year. We created a preliminary goal to raise $10,000 and the goal was met in the first four days of the campaign! We then created a secondary goal of $25,000 and by the end of the campaign the total raised was over $30,000.
You heard that right, Hidden Springs Mission more than doubled their annual budget in a five-week end-of-year fundraising campaign.
"We thought a goal of raising $10,000 for our End of Year Campaign was crazy. But, with Liminal Creative's help, we were able to raise more than $30,000! They have been such a great partnership for HSM, and we look forward to continuing this important work in 2021."
